Terra Nova High yearbook staff gets recognized for their hard work

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

A little shout out to the yearbook staff at Terra Nova High School in Pacifica, Calif., a Walsworth school who was recently the subject of a nice feature article in the Pacifica Tribune and online at the MercuryNews.com.

Yearbook adviser Jennifer Leeper is in her fifth year at Terra Nova, and over the past five years she’s made some sweeping changes to improve the program and raise the standards. She’s changed the entire curriculum and brought a journalistic feel to the yearbook.

“I have been working hard to help everyone see that a yearbook is a journalistic publication,” said Leeper.

So far, so good. The result has been positive reviews from the critique services and a sense of pride and accomplishment from the students on staff, many of whom are quoted in the feature.
