Staff at K.C. area high school working toward an inclusive yearbook

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The yearbook staff at Lee’s Summit High School in suburban Kansas City was featured on the local TV news last night for an effort this year to ensure that all 1,700 students in their school are covered in the yearbook twice.

Fox-4 Kansas City did the story on Lee’s Summit’s project geared toward the inclusive yearbook, interviewing staff members and adviser Karla Thompson.

The theme of this year’s Lee’s Summit yearbook, “Inspired by You,” meshes perfectly with the attempt to include all students in the yearbook.
