Smile for the Junior High/Middle School Photo Contest winner

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

One of the most exciting aspects of Walsworth’s 2013 Photo Contest was getting to see all the great images submitted in the Junior High/Middle School category. It will be fun to see what those young photogs will be able to do as they gain even more experience.

Congratulations to Brianna Smith from Southside Middle School in Jacksonville, Fla., whose portrait of a classmate took home the top prize in the category.

Brianna wins a $100 Visa gift card for her photo and a pizza party for the Southside staff.

The best photos were chosen by Walsworth and the number of Likes on Facebook. Winners were selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: quality of photo (25%), appropriateness to category (10%), photography rules followed (25%), creativity demonstrated (15%) and viral nature as determined by the number of Likes (25%).
