Yearbook 3D, the free augmented reality mobile app exclusively from Walsworth, is changing the way people look at yearbooks. Yearbook staffs, students and news media are all watching in amazement as Yearbook 3D brings their yearbook to life.

Users simply start by downloading the free Yearbook 3D app from the App Store or Google Play. Then they scan their yearbook cover or image marked with a Yearbook 3D icon to watch the magic.

News stories

TV station Fox 6 in Milwaukee paid a visit to Grafton High School in Grafton, Wisconsin, to do a story on the leap forward in technology the staff made using Yearbook 3D!

Case High School in Racine, Wisconsin, used the Yearbook 3D platform to help its book spring to life, and local newspaper The Journal Times visited during signing day.

Suncoastnews.com featured the yearbook staff from J.W. Mitchell High School in New Port Richey, Florida, who has made a huge impression on students by using the Yearbook 3D platform to include 25 animated images in one of their books.

KDKA, channel 2 in Pittsburgh, paid a visit to Pine-Richland High School to do a story discussing how Yearbook 3D is revolutionizing yearbook.

The News-Press in Fort Myers, Florida, wrote a feature on South Fort Myers High School, and the yearbook staff’s use of Yearbook 3D with the yearbook. The staff did some awesome animations, and you can read about it here.

Medina Middle School in Medina, Tennessee, helped their yearbook spring to life using Yearbook 3D and local TV station WBBJ took notice! Watch the student reactions!

Spotswood High School in Penn Laird, Virginia, used Walsworth’s Yearbook 3D platform to add augmented reality to its yearbook pages through the Aurasma app. Local TV station WHSV was there!

The yearbook staff at Plant City High School in Plant City, Florida, used the Yearbook 3D app, and the technology blew their audience away. Local newspaper the Plant City Times & Observer visited the school to write an article about the book and Yearbook 3D.

Yearbook 3D logoThe University of Tampa gave a jump-start to its yearbook program by using Yearbook 3D, and it generated this positive coverage from the university website as well as some coverage from tech website PSFK.com – complete with video!

Rhea County High School in Evensville, Tennessee, used the Yearbook 3D platform and it attracted some front page coverage from local newspaper, The Herald-News.

The yearbook staff at Beloit Memorial High School in Beloit, Wisconsin, attracted the attention of local newspaper the Beloit Daily News due to the way they used Walsworth’s Yearbook 3D platform with their yearbook.

Ohio TV station WLIO paid a visit to the yearbook staff from Shawnee High School in Lima, Ohio to talk about all the exciting things they’re doing with augmented reality and Yearbook 3D!

North High School in Des Moines, Iowa provided a behind-the-scenes look at how the yearbook staff used iPads and augmented reality to create an amazing book.

Through the expertise Walsworth gained with the Yearbook 3D app, the company announced a partnership with augmented reality leaders Aurasma to deliver the technology to schools across the country and the Mobile Commerce Press took notice.

Tampa Bay Times reporter Danielle Parquette visited Palm Harbor High School on yearbook distribution day when students got their first look at the book, which made use of Yearbook 3D on the cover and images on the inside.

The Northern Virginia Daily featured the 20th anniversary book at Sherando High School, and the amazing animation they did on the cover with Yearbook 3D.

Local newspaper the Long Valley Patch did a story on the futuristic yearbook cover that the staff at West Morris Central did with Yearbook 3D.

Does your app allow students to message eachother? Does it allow students to see classmates from the year before? Does your app allow me to post a picture of my recent face? Does your app allow me to put my social media links?
