Pick 6 and pick up an iPad

Written by Kris Mateski, CJE

I’m sure you know what an iPad® is, but you might be scratching your head about Pick 6. No, it’s not a lottery game or a touchdown scored by the defense. Pick 6 is Walsworth’s new marketing program that takes the guess work out of finding creative ways to market the yearbook.

Over the past few years Walsworth has partnered with schools to find out which marketing tactics work best. From that work, we have identified the 10 most effective tactics. All you have to do is pick the 6 tactics you think will work best with your school community.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Go to Walsworth’s Marketing Help page and select the Pick 6 button.
  • yearbookzen copyComplete your Pick 6 marketing plan by selecting the six tactics that you think will help you sell yearbooks and ads.
  • After selecting your six, provide the estimated dates when you plan to do each tactic.
  • That’s it. You’re done. You officially have a Pick 6 now – congratulations!

The Walsworth Marketing Team will send you a follow-up email detailing how to do each selected marketing tactic and what tools we have to help you. You will also receive a monthly reminder of the tactics you are planning. And if you need support along the way, all you have to do is ask. Just contact us at marketingyearbooks@walsworth.com.

So, by now you might be wondering where does the iPad® fit into all of this? It’s simple – complete your Pick 6 marketing plan and you will be entered to win an Apple iPad®.

The reason for it all…
I understand that marketing and selling the yearbook isn’t your highest priority. In fact, it may not be a priority at all. Teaching students, conferencing with parents, and working with your staff to produce an amazing yearbook all rank higher. That’s why Walsworth has created Pick 6. It’s your personal marketing program that is easy to start, and easy to maintain, in between the lesson plans and deadlines.

You are a teacher, a yearbook adviser, and you probably wear a couple of more hats to boot. While we can’t remove all of the hats for you, Pick 6 will at least help one hat feel more comfortable.
