Lori Kuba

Purchasing Department – Ripon, Wisconsin

At Walsworth, I am a buyer in the Purchasing Department.

In my daily work, my job is mainly to issue purchase orders for several departments and order sheet stock. I also help to perform paper validation and fix exceptions in our Ripon facility. Eventually, I will learn roll stock, which I am looking forward to.

I have been working at Walsworth for 4 months and this is my first job in the printing industry. I never knew there are so many different types of paper! I now find myself looking at books trying to figure out what type of paper was used.

With my years of purchasing experience and customer service, I was looking for a new challenge. I have a great appreciation for books, and this felt like an excellent opportunity to work for an established company and so close to home.

What I love most about my job is the people I work with. Everyone has been so helpful and nice. I have learned so much in the short amount of time I have been here and it is because I work with a stellar group of coworkers.

If I had a personalized coffee mug at work, it would say “Be Flamazing” (And yes, I have this mug. It is a pink, flamingo-shaped mug!)

I come to work every day because I love my job! I truly enjoy what I do and appreciate everyone I work with and for.

A fun fact about me is I love to sing Karaoke and have won several contests 🙂

My husband Duane and I have a blended family with seven children and four grandchildren. We have two golden retrievers, Nemo and Cali, who are TikTok famous, lol.

In my free time, I love to golf with my husband. We love to travel, which means yearly trips to the beach are a must. We are always watching sports; our favorite is football. Go Pack Go!

Walsworth has contributed to my future by improving my health. My work-life balance has greatly helped in reducing my blood pressure and has given me more time with those I love the most.

In my first two months here, I volunteered with several other coworkers at a Walsworth-sponsored event in Ripon. I enjoy volunteering to help give back to the community and will continue to do so as much as I can at future Walsworth events.

Since I have only been here a short amount of time my favorite memory so far would be the day I accepted my job offer. It has been the best career decision I have ever made.
