After spending 11 years as a journalism instructor advising the yearbook, newspaper, literary magazine and television broadcast, I left to join Walsworth Yearbooks in 1999. My experience as an adviser helps me coach new advisers and help experienced ones streamline their processes and organize their staffs for high efficiency.
My favorite time of the year is when we are brainstorming and designing the new yearbook, as I love all the possibilities and love to bring graphic treatments to staffs for them to use. Marketing is also near and dear to my heart, and I want to help schools ensure that all students have access to purchasing an affordable yearbook.
As a Certified Journalism Educator (CJE), I help judge publications for scholastic journalism organizations and bring that critical eye with me to your school in the event you want to compete or just raise the bar from previous years. I love yearbook and hope to help you build the very best book possible!

I love that my rep, Julie Weeks, is not only my rep, but also my friend. I love that she loves my students and our book. I love that our book is important to Julie; she always looks for ways to help my staff. I love that I receive emails that not only are reminders, but are also helpful tips and tricks of the trade. I love that Julie keeps my staff informed about the latest trends and newest products the company has to offer.
After over a decade working with Julie Weeks, I can unequivocally say that she is an amazing rep! She always answers my questions quickly. She searches for custom items that are above and beyond what Walsworth offers, is honest about costs, and offers knowledgeable advice about layouts and content to help us get even better as a staff. Not to mention, she brings cookies and pizza to my hungry staff when they meet deadlines!
