How Did They Do That? Silhouettes

Written by Marketing Staff

In this new feature, we will take an item from a yearbook highlighted in Caught Our Eye and explain how to create it. It could be an image, a graphic or an interesting treatment, whatever we find that we think you will want to know about.

Making silhouettes:

  1. Import a photo that contains an image that would make an appropriate silhouette.
  2. Use the Pen tool to trace that shape, in this case, a head. Once you close the Pen tool, make sure the element is filled with the paper swatch.
  3. Delete the photo. Apply feathering, if you wish.
