Health Careers students get a chance to color their own yearbook cover

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The Cover Spotlights are back! And we’re kicking off this round of exploring unique yearbook cover ideas with a look at the 2017 cover from Health Careers High School in San Antonio, Texas.

One of the Health Careers editors was an artist, which led the staff to creating a cover with a hand-drawn sketch of interesting doodles printed on linen material.

The hand-drawn cover art was all black, and the linen material allowed students to get creative and color it in however they wanted. You can see a before and after example of the cover above.

A fun, simple way to make the yearbook cover interactive!
