November 13, 2010 / 2010 Fall JEA/NSPA / Walsworth Live

Exhibit floor, Walsworth booth provides a fun atmosphere for JEA/NSPA attendees in K.C.

A steady stream of students and advisers passed through the exhibit hall on Thursday and Friday at the Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Kansas City.

There was a festive atmosphere in the air, and not just due to the presence of all the animals from the Shrine Circus in town across the street being housed right outside the Convention Center’s doors.

The large Walsworth booth at the center of the floor greeted guests with cover artist design sessions for yearbook staffs, the Idea Lounge area for yearbook browsing, and of course, the Whamboozal game, which once again drew in large crowds of students.

Even the cold, rainy weather that hit Kansas City on Friday didn’t dampen the spirits. Whether it was Whamboozal, or the fake mustaches being handed out at the Ball State University J-school booth, fun was the theme of the show floor.
