Marceline Press Lead Kenny Schmitt loves seeing new technology in the pressroom

Kenny Schmitt

Pressroom – Marceline, Missouri

At Walsworth, I used to be a Press Helper and Four-Color Press Operator. I am currently the Pressroom Lead.

In my day-to-day work, I move workflow from CTP to press to schedule the workload for our presses. I also order press consumables and do ink testing and mixing as needed.

I have worked at Walsworth since March 31, 1982. I was introduced to the industry because my dad worked at Walsworth.

I think the coolest thing I get to do at work is seeing new technology.

If I had a personalized coffee mug at work, it would say “Easy to get along with”

I like coming to work every day because it keeps me going and keeps me young.

A fun fact about me is I used to be an EMT.

I have my wife, five kids and two grandkids in my family. When I’m not at work, I love hunting, fishing and playing with our grandkids.

If it wasn’t for Walsworth, this community would not be here.

I give back to my community through my involvement with the local Fire Department.

A favorite memory I have working at Walsworth is that my signature is in a book that supposedly ended up in the White House.
