About our Employee Spotlights

We will be featuring the Employee Spotlight series on our websites to celebrate our amazing employees and give you a chance to get to know them better.

Danielle Finch

I am a web content specialist at Walsworth. Essentially, anything that you see on our websites is managed by me. I also contribute to yearbook blogs and help with other marketing campaigns that focus on teacher-centered support.

In simple terms, I do computer nerd stuff and have fun doing it.

I started at Walsworth in June of 2022. Previously, I was a high school yearbook adviser for four years at Smithville High School.

I was a customer to Walsworth prior to starting my position in June. I was attracted to this industry because teaching yearbook was my passion. Working at Walsworth allows me to make an impact in education without being in the classroom.

What I love about my job is getting to see all the beautiful yearbooks Walsworth produces. It's such a pleasure to see such beautiful work from students across the country.

"Elder Emo" is definitely a personalized mug I would use every day if I had one. The phrase needs no explanation.

I love learning and this job allows me to explore a lot of technical skills that I can expand upon. I also love that I can try out new things with our web content and I have a dynamic team to support my work with enhancing our web presence.

If I'm leaving my house for anything other than the necessities, I'm probably going to a concert. Live music is my favorite thing in the world!

I live with my husband, three cats and two dogs in Smithville, Missouri. My husband works in IT in the Smithville school district, and we live the DINK life (double-income, no kids). We love exploring the world together!

I am an avid reader, writer and video-gamer. I also started an Etsy shop this year that I'm super excited about. Working with Walsworth allows me to explore many of my hobbies, which I will always be grateful for.

Working with Walsworth has given me my life back. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but the reality of working in education for seven years was a rough one. I worked at least 70 hours a week with my curricular and extra-curricular responsibilities, so all I did was work and sleep. Although my role with Walsworth is a vital one, I feel like I can step away from work when my day is over and focus on my family and myself. That is worth its weight in gold.

I'm still the newbie in the office, but I think the best moments from the job have been getting to know my colleagues. I work with an amazing group of people!
