I started creating yearbooks in 1990 and don't ever plan on stopping. I was an editor and/or photographer for 10 publications and have now been a yearbook sales rep for 15 years. I have worked on more than 550 yearbooks, and I want to share some of the great ideas that I have seen.
I have also been a professional photographer since 2000 and enjoy teaching yearbook staffs how to get the shots that will take their yearbook to the next level.
I was the official photographer for Dark Horse Comics at San Diego Comic Con 2012-2014, and Big Brother Season 13 (the reality show). The few years I did not do yearbook, I ran marketing campaigns for Coke, Proctor & Gamble, American Express and Molson Breweries.
My goal is to make the yearbook adviser's job easier as well as to help every school make a beautiful book, increase sales and, in turn, help the school make more money.
From valuable webinars to timely reminders and marketing ideas, we have the tools you and your yearbook staff need to cover the year.
We want to make your life easier, and this page includes numerous resources to help you with your 2024 yearbook.
I highly recommend Elana as a yearbook rep. This year I have felt like a new adviser, learning new technology and new procedures, and Elana has been right there whenever I texted, called, or e-mailed. She relates well to students too, but most importantly, she doesn’t mind giving a personal mini-tutorial.
Elana’s positive attitude and true love of everything yearbook, as well as her background knowledge in marketing (which I hope to tap soon in order to increase my yearbook sales) are all good reasons to consider her as a yearbook rep. I highly recommend her based on my experience this year as I transition from one yearbook company to another.
Elana is extremely hard working and has gone above and beyond multiple times during the school year to troubleshoot any potential issues and to help us create the high quality yearbook that students at Otay Ranch High School have come to expect. I know that because of Elana’s hard work this year our yearbook will continue winning national awards.
