Covenant Christian creates colorful mascot on cover

Written by Jamie Chambers

In this week’s Cover Spotlight, let’s take a closer look at the 2016 cover from Covenant Christian Academy in Houma, Louisiana.

The staff of The Mane Event used colorful paint splatters to create the image of their lion mascot on the cover (seen above). There is just enough paint on the cover for the shape of the lion to emerge from the white background.

The movement of the various brush strokes helps bring the lion to life. To unite the theme “In the Mix” to the lion artwork, the word “Mix” is filled with the same paint splatter background.

It’s a creative touch, and outstanding work!
