Check out the Clubs and Organizations Photo Contest winner

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Today is the day we unveil the winners in Walsworth’s 2013 Photo Contest. The first category up is Clubs and Organizations.

Congratulations to Frank Gonzalez from Burges High School in El Paso, Texas! Gonzalez’s image of an engineering club student checking lights was the winner.

Here are Frank’s own words on the winning entry: “This photo captures the careful tending of the lighting of the “B” before our homecoming. I also love how my lighting came out when they were checking the lights, (to see) if each of them work (engineering club).”

Frank wins a $100 Visa gift card for his photo and a pizza party for the Burges staff.

The best photos were chosen by Walsworth and the number of Likes on Facebook. Winners were selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: quality of photo (25%), appropriateness to category (10%), photography rules followed (25%), creativity demonstrated (15%) and viral nature as determined by the number of Likes (25%).
