Alpena High School yearbook staff uses QR codes for marketing

The Yearbooks Blog loves seeing good ideas in action, which is why we wanted to give a hearty shout out this week to the yearbook staff at Alpena High School in Alpena, Mich.

The staff decided to start using QR codes this year, but not just for supplemental content in the book. They started using them for marketing purposes to spread the word about yearbook sales.

Alpena created six video ads about the yearbook, and placed QR codes linking to the videos all around the school. Take a look at one of the commercials below.
