Adobe InDesign turns 10

Written by Idea File Staff

Adobe’s desktop publishing software InDesign turned 10 years old on Monday. First released on Aug. 31, 1999, InDesign went through plenty of growing pains on its way to becoming the industry standard for how yearbook staffs build their publications.

As many yearbook staffs begin to explore the developing world of online yearbook publication, it will be fascinating to see what the future holds.

The updates and improvements to InDesign the past 10 years have been amazing to watch. Just recently, the Idea File outlined what’s new for yearbook staffs with this year’s InDesign CS4.

Happy birthday, InDesign!
