A few good reasons to see us this summer

Written by Kris Mateski, CJE

When I dropped my daughter off at school this morning, she looked at me and said with a big smile, “Only 13 school days left.”

Her statement took me by surprise. Emily had factored out weekend days to determine how many actual school days are left. Here’s a young lady who is really looking forward to her summer vacation.

Are you looking forward to your summer vacation? I hope you take time to relax, spend time with family and friends and recharge your batteries as you get ready for the next school year.

Speaking of next year, please remember Walsworth’s Adviser Academy will be here in Kansas City July 12-14. It’s a fun, interactive, three-day yearbook experience custom-made for your situation. It will definitely help you get ready for next year’s book. You can learn more about Adviser Academy here.

If you are undecided about attending Adviser Academy, here are a few good reasons to share three days of your summer vacation with us:

  • yearbookzen copyStart the year strong
New advisers will learn all the yearbook basics they need to get prepared for the year.
  • Find refreshment
Are you a returning adviser? If so, you can refresh your enthusiasm for yearbooks by reviewing the latest trends and leave with real classroom resources.
  • Never feel alone again
Ever feel alone in your school – like you’re the only one who truly gets the commitment that yearbook takes? At Adviser Academy, you will receive hands-on training from instructors who truly know what you do. When you leave, you’ve made excellent contacts who can help you next year whether you need an expert opinion or a little motivation.
  • Discover Kansas City
Kansas City is the cool place to be. Don’t just take our word for it, Frommers.com recently listed Kansas City as one of its top 10 destinations for 2012. And the only one in the United States. Come see what all the buzz is about.
  • Step confidently
Creating yearbooks is a journey. Let Adviser Academy help you make your steps a little more confident.

Based on my daughter’s math, there are only 12 mornings remaining that I’ll need to take her school (to be honest I’ll miss this time with her), but I’ll plan to arrive at the office a little earlier to make sure everything is ready for our advisers in July. Please know that in between whatever you are planning this summer, we would love to see you in Kansas City.

Something wonderful happens when people get together and talk yearbooks for a few days. Enthusiasm spikes, knowledge is shared and the yearbook tradition gets a little stronger.
