This award encourages promising advisers and journalism teachers with one to five years of advising or journalism teaching experience to stay in the profession. Winners will be honored at the 2012 Spring Convention in Seattle, April 12-15. Nomination forms and supporting materials must be received by Oct. 15. JEA Lifetime Achievement

NSPA Pioneer Awards
This is the highest NSPA award for journalism educators and honors those who make substantial contributions to high school publications and journalism programs outside of their primary employment.
