You can create reflections in InDesign by flopping text or graphics.
1. Create a page element. For example, create a text frame and type your name in it.
2. Duplicate the text frame. You can do this by copying and pasting, selecting Edit > Duplicate, or holding down the Alt or Option key as you click and drag the object.
3. Grab and drag. Use the Selection Tool and grab the upper left, right or center handle of one of the text frames. Drag the handle over the element itself, and it will flop, or reflect, the element.
4. You can then add a gradient, or change the color and skew of the second text block to create the reflection effect shown here. Remember, to add a gradient or color to the text only, you must highlight the text with the Type Tool.
