Wow, I’m exhausted from ice skating yesterday — so sore!
Luckily I had really cool morning sessions. Loved Jennifer Seavey’s hands-on workshop with profile writing because it engaged us to actually do the activity while meeting new people and it woke us all up to start off a new day.
The conference was great today!
I must say Mark Murray’s photography presentation inspired me to create an amazing photo portfolio. I already can’t wait for tomorrow. Loved Coral Glades High School’s newspaper, The Prowl, and I can’t wait to get back to school to share layout ideas with the entire newspaper staff.
Day 1 at CSPA ended with a new mindset about the concept of journalism and possibilities.
The rules that have regimented design and copy in the past have expanded and I really learned new ways of how to properly “bend” them.
The Columbia Scholastic Press Association’s annual national convention will take place later this week in New York City, and we want to hear from the schools that will be there!
