This spring, Illinois Wesleyan University will publish a yearbook with the theme “Restart.” It’s an extremely appropriate theme, seeing as how the school is putting out a yearbook for the first time since 2000.

Restarting the Wesleyana yearbook has been a mission for editor Cameron Ohlendorf, one with a personal family connection.

Ohlendorf’s parents were both editors of the yearbook while they were students at Illinois Wesleyan back in the 1980s, which made bringing the book back to campus even more meaningful for him. Now, Ohlendorf told the university website that he is adamant about keeping the Wesleyana alive.

“People may not understand now that they are becoming part of history, but when they look back at a yearbook, they will see more than the great times at college, they will understand the history and how they were part of that,” Ohlendorf said.
