Starting to think about how you want to promote next year’s yearbook is an exciting thing, but before you get too many ideas I don’t want you to get too ahead of yourself!
The first thing you will want to do is learn how your school distributes their registration/back-to-school information. The way your school distributes this information is a key component in starting to take your sales from zero to 60 in 5.2!
In Walsworth’s Kick-start Your Sales manual, which is available on the Marketing Help page, we outline three of the most common ways that your school might distribute their registration/back-to-school information. That’s through books or packets, downloads from the school website or even at a registration/back-to-school event. In case you are wondering who you might ask to find out which way your school does it, I would start with the front office. The front office is the hub of most school activities and the people who work there are the brains behind it all.
Once you know how your school gets the registration/back-to-school information out to parents, you can turn to pages 4 and 5 of the Kick-start Your Sales manual to see some of the proven techniques that will help you put some extra zing into your sales. The Best Practices outlines what you should do and in what order to get the most bang for your buck!
If you have any questions about how to use the forms, just email them to marketingyearbooks@walsworth.com, and keep watching for more posts about how to “kick-start” your sales coming soon!
